R. Wayne Alexander, MD, PhD

Wayne is R. Bruce Logue Professor and Chairman of the Department of Medicine of Emory University School of Medicine and Emory University Hospital. He is also Scientific Co-Founder and director of AtheroGenics, Inc. (Nasdaq: AGIX). Prior to his appointment at Emory, Wayne was Associate Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School. He has published extensively in the cardiovascular literature and is on the editorial boards of several journals including the Journal of Clinical Investigation, Circulation Research, and Circulation.
