Patrick Tremblay, Ph.D.
Executive-in-Residence
Patrick is a molecular biologist with broad expertise in academic research and biopharmaceutical R&D. He is the author of 50 peer-reviewed publications in oncology, developmental biology, degenerative diseases, and regenerative therapies. Prior to joining Pappas in 2007, he spent seven years as Assistant Professor in Neurology at the University of California in San Francisco working on neurodegenerative diseases with Dr. Stanley Prusiner, Nobel Laureate (1997) for Medicine and Physiology. He also held positions as Director of Pharmacology at Neurochem focused on the treatment for Alzheimer's disease and as Vice-President of R&D at BioAxone where he developed neuroprotective and regenerative therapies for spinal cord injuries.
In addition to his activities at Pappas, Patrick also works as a consultant and is a member of advisory boards at BioQuebec, Quebec Consortium for Drug Development and Center of Excellence for Commercialization and Research of the Montreal Neurological Institute.
