Marty is Chairman and CEO of AlphaMed Consulting, a corporation that provides strategic support to cancer centers, advocacy groups, as well as the global pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry. Marty is Founding Executive Editor of the international, peer-reviewed journal, The Oncologist, which is read by more than 21,000 physicians entrusted with cancer patient care. He is Founder and Executive Editor of Stem Cells, a scientific journal that has more than two decades of publishing excellence in this fast-paced and promising field. Marty was also Founder and former CEO of the Hipple Cancer Research Center. He was principal investigator of more than $21 million of cancer grants and research contracts, authored more than 150 peer-reviewed papers and is the editor of a score of books. He is currently Chairman of the Scientific Advisory Board of ArraDx, Ltd., a biotech company developing prognostic assays as well as anti-cancer drugs in Craigavon, Northern Ireland. He is also a member of the board of trustees of the American Cancer Society Foundation.
