Matt has extensive accounting and finance experience in the investment management industry. He joined Pappas Ventures in June 2013 as the firm’s controller responsible for managing the firm’s day-to-day financial operations.

Prior to joining Pappas, Matt was a Vice President in the accounting and valuation oversight group at State Street Global Advisors in Boston. His role focused on accounting, financial reporting, and valuation oversight for the firm’s exchange-traded funds, mutual funds and institutional funds, and he served as a member of the firm’s valuation committee. Before State Street Global Advisors, Matt was in the Boston office of PricewaterhouseCoopers, first as a senior associate in the investment management audit practice and later as a manager in the fraud risk group. Matt also spent part of his career as a financial analyst supporting Fidelity Investment’s stock plan recordkeeping business where he was responsible for management reporting, P&L analysis, budgeting, and multi-year business planning.
